Ports for firewall

How to confirm which port that I need for a firewall configuration?

We deploy to a Database and file deployment to another server.
So I think it's only two ports?

IS it in the ODBase file? When I look at the Administration tab under server I get another Port.

Which port is it, just want to be sure.

Your guidance is appreciated.

typically you need port 20014 open between the TS server and any system it deploys to.

You may need other ports opened as well. DBs are typically NOT in the DMZ so the server team will open ports between the app servers and the DB, that is not a TS requirement.

If the DB is in the DMZ, then depending on the setup you may need other ports open for JDBC

Why don't you read OD Admin manual? Depending on what you really need you may have to configure binding, RMI, JNDI, Clt proxy and other OD Ports

Went thru the documentation, and didn't get any info that was usefull.

For the files deployment #1:
Deployment(Server)--> Proxy --> Firewall --> filedeployment(20014)
Deployment(Server)--> on a different network
Proxy --> Firewall --> filedeployment(20014) --> on a different Network

deployment #2
For the Database inside th DMZ behind the firewall
Deployment (Server)--> Proxy--> Firewall --> DB

Don't think I need port:4972 open on the firewall, where do I find this info?

Also do I put the Proxy adress instead of the target servers on the ODnodes.xml, and what do I put on the receiver the proxy address?

Would like to see where this info is available???

What I'm really trying to say is how to find out which Port "Publish to Livesite workflow" is using the out of the box?

And I think I got the answer.
ODbase and ODnodes tell you which port for the file deployment

But for the DD is it this file?
\iw-home\TeamSite\local\config\lib\content_center\livesite_customer_src\etc\conf\livesite_customer\database.properties

I would verify the DB is actually in the DMZ. Often they are not. If it is, then you need to open the port for JDBC

The only way would be to do a netstat see which port are active and do a search on all file(Teamsite -OD) for that port. I wish it would be define in some specific file for the out of the box.

The port for database deployments should be referenced in the database connection string (usually in ODHOME/etc/database.xml - I'm not sure about LiveSite related database references)

I think your right, more I look at more it look like it's the workflow that dictated this.
