If I want to remap a request to a different branch, is it required to have directory structure existing on source branch ?

If I want images to be browsed from a centralised branch, how do I provide regex for it ?

_regex=source_regex=dest_regex

If there is no images dir existing on source branch, how can I provide remapping for it ?

can I just, provide
_regex=/images/=/default/assets_branch/WORKAREA/images/get_images/

Or do I need to provide something else. I am unable to put this issue in right words, I guess.

Thanks

Here are things you need to do for centralizing the common assets.

1)Browsing the images which are there in different branch
If it is DCT: write FormAPI and use callout and simulate the browse functionality.

2)Proxy redirects only works when your are preview the content(html etc...)

regarding folder structure:In order to load images properly on target servers you need to maintain some common directory structure .
