could not dcr error

Hi,

When I try to debug a presentation template using

\Interwoven\Teamsite\bin>iwpt_compile.ipl Y:\default\main\****\WORKAREA\shared\templatedata\****\HomeCountry\presentation\homecountry.tpl -iw_pt-dcr Y:\default\main\****\WORKAREA\shared\templatedata\****\HomeCountry\data\country.dcr -ocode

\Interwoven\Teamsite\tmp\jhool5.ipl -iw_include-location Y:\default\main\jxxx\WORKAREA\shared

I am getting could not load dcr error..

Can some one please suggest where am I going wrong

Is absent "-pt" switch just a Typo or you are really missing it?

Oh!!Its a typo when i posted here...But When i issued i did use -pt and also when i check the dcr in the data its present...But couldn't get it...

Try using two backslashes in your paths.

Is that the actual error message "could not load dcr"? If not, what is the actual error message?

Do you (as the user running the command) have access to read the contents of the DCR? - e.g. can you do:

Y:\> type Y:\default\main\****\WORKAREA\shared\templatedata\****\HomeCountry\data\country.dcr

(ignore the white-space in "****" - that's a byproduct of the forum software)

Does the PT attempt to load any other DCRs during it's processing of the primary DCR that is provided on the command line?

Try using two backslashes in your paths.

It's a Windows command line - you only need single backslashes - or - you can put double-quotes around the paths and use single forward slashes.

Double backslashes is for when paths are embedded in code in which a single backslash is interpreted as the beginning of an escape sequence - not on the command line on Windows.

I missed the "D:\Interwoven\Teamsite\bin>" portion. Then yes, double backslashes are not needed.
