Workarea content Does not show

prem_pratick

Hi,

TS 6.7.2 Sp2 Windows 2003 VM ware.
AD for auth.

Path:
//hostname/default/main/intranet/world/about/WORKAREA/WorkInProgress

The user is a master and has acess to this branch and all the templates/categories in the branch. The user can import/ create DCR/ generate page etc.

The user can see the tree structure on the right hand side of the browser. But All Files: WorkInProgress, does not shows even a single file.

If i check in the Y: drive i am able to see the files in the above path.

We are able to see the files in other WA.

In the access logs i am able to see this

/iw-cc/command/iw.ccpro.directory_tree?vpath=//hostname/default/main/intranet/world/about/WORKAREA/WorkInProgress HTTP/1.1" 200 3419 0 userA

What could be the possible reasons for the same.

Thanks,
Prem

Try to toggle between View menu. Sometimes, you may have "View Modified Files" or some such combination selected and so may not be able to see all the files.

Hi,

I tried the same, i Got a pop up stating "java.lang.NullPointerException" and No path specified.

When i click on import i get a blank screen also. I tried all combinations, still i am getting the blank screen.

You may have a cookie or session with a bad path.

Can you get to /default ?

Try a different login and see if this is repeatable

namithapai

Another thing to watch out for are non standard pop up blockers. Try disabling any toolbars that you may have. As mentioned earlier, does it work with a different login? or on a different machine?

prem_pratick

Hi,

I have tried the same from 5 diff M/c cleared the browser cache and all. I dont have a pop up blocker.

This is hapenning with the WA only.

Stupid question, but has anyone done a get latest on that workarea ?

Check the ownership of the workarea and also see if workarea_security is on in iw.cfg

Also, make a new workarea on that branch, get latest and see if it has content.

Basically the below command does not return any thing. Even tough the files are there.

When I generate a page from a DCr and save it in the WA, then in that pop-up window i am able to see the files.

Is this CCPro or CCStd?
Are you a 'Master'?
If not - are you sure you have an assigned role in that branch?
(i.e.: go to the branch level and then click on Users and Roles - and make sure your user, or a group to which that user belongs, is listed as having a role in that branch)

prem_pratick

Hi,

I am a master, will acess to the Branch.

I can create DCR's in the branch. but the content of WA does not show(it only shows folder in the tree structure)

I am using cc pro.

Venus00

one questions for you :
are you able to see header in the right pane like (Name, Modified by , Modofied) ?

If not - you can try with reseting UI service using (iwreset clt)

prem_pratick

Hi,

I did the iwui reset as well as restarted the server also. Still no luck.

Pls find the screen grab.

prem_pratick

Workarea Administration > Modify Workarea Properties

We had similar issue with some directories. Y: drive shows the files but not GUI. We contacted Interwoven and we got a reply saying it is due to the iwstore corruption(not the whole store). We were asked to run the commands to fix(like iwfsshrink). It did not help. We could resolve the problems as follows.

Backup the files(Copying from Y: drive)
Delete the directory
Submit the deletion(optional)
Recreate the directory(thru GUI)
Bring back the files.

Please try. All the best.

.. We were asked to run the commands to fix(like iwfsshrink). It did not help. ...

iwfsshrink would have nothing to do with fixing a corrupted backing store. iwfsck could be used to diagnose, and potentially fix a corrupted backing store - but it should only be run in "fix" mode under the clear instructions from Support.

My bad..that is what i meant..

Be careful while installing the patch, it messes up the VFE.

Thanks
