include issue in preview

Hi All,

I am wondering why the following HTML include line is not processed in preview mode, though it is processed in generate mode:

<\!--#include virtual="/tiles/top-links/top-links.html" -->

Tried with iw_include as well, no success.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Nope...no success. If I view the source of the generated HTML, the include is still there not processed by the browser.But the page HTML page that is generated using the generation tpl works fine. I am wondering why...

I think (THINK) that your line of code is asp technology and you do a preview over apache without asp. Right?

In that case this include will never work.

In general, you will need to provide more details on your env. in order to get proper help.

Correct I thought of that possibility as well.Unfortunately I dont have proper access to deal with core TS configuration files.

Yes the category has been configured to .asp for generation & .html for preview in templating.cfg. Further this particular tpl doesnt deal with any dynamic elements. What I am trying to achieve is that to make up an html file including some other html tiles(already generated and resides in the branch) at the preview.

I am wondering whether we need to configure the TS apache to process the includes as we do in standalone apache, because i believe this built in apache is the one involves with preview.correct?

Yes, you will need to configure apache for SSI if it was not configured before. also try changing the preview extension to .shtml

iwwebd (the built-in apache) is not involved in Preview - the "customer web server" is the one that is involved with Preview, so if you need to muck with web server configuration files - it's that one you need to play with - not iwwebd's.
