What kind of a query is passed as a string to CSWorkflow[] getWorkflowsByQuery(String query) to get the active workflows?

I have something here which can help you out for query.

The query is in the xml format :

String str = "<wfquery getdata='t'><and><ownedby v='"+ user +"'/><active/></and></wfquery>";

where "user" is the username for which you want all the details of the Job.

If you specify blank in the string "str" then Teamsite automatically determines who is the current user and create a query for the current user and returns the result.

If you need for other user then you need to create a query and pass that query to the function, as above.

I actually want to get the list of all active workflows for a particular period.
I tried modifying the query and putting some parameters for active tag, but its failing.
Please help me with the appropriate tags, parameters and values or help me with the location, I can get it from?

I am not sure that the "active" tag in the wfquery will give you the list of the active workflows for a particular period.

If you need the DTD for the wfquery you can get it in the PDF.
"Command Line Tools", search for the CLT "iwqueryjobs".

You will get the DTD here in that section.

Why do you want to get the list of workflows active workflows for particular time period ?
You may need to find out the start time and end time of each workflow you got from this query. Then get the list from it.
