How to get url of the document in interwoven?

Hi,

I am creating a windows application, which will upload the files to interwoven.
I was using FileSite 8.5 COM dll to upload the files to interwoven.

I got one requirement, i need to generate the url for the document which i have uploaded. I did this url creating using DocNumber and folder ID.

But now i got anouther requirement like i need to generate the link to document uploaded to interwoven, before uploading the actual file.

Is there any way that we can create a link(url) for the document before uploading to interwoven?

You could always create a dummy file first.

do you mean, we need to upload a dummy file and generate the url... after some time we need to overrite the existing file with new one?

I'm not sure if that is the best practice but it should work well this way.
