Sitepublisher Components and Javascript
siddin
Hi,
Currently we have 5 components in template, when we generate o/p from a this .page file using this template, the xsl from each component reads a text datum in the component and pushes its contents onto a java script array and final component displays the array contents. I am maintaing this code and did not develop this code.
How can i achieve the same effect without using java script?
Thanks for your help in advance
ENV: RHEL 5.2, TeamSite 6.7.2 SP1

If the javascript isn't doing any manipulation of the content from the text datums that is known only at runtime, you could just have the XSL output the datums in an appropriate place in the HTML.

We are using datums to output something like footers/disclaimers at the end of the page, so we are using java script array object to remembers the earlier content from other components, and print all the content at once using the last component, nothing much of manipulation but just appending numbers.
Somehow the last component needs to access, what the earlier components have saved without using Java script.

OK - I now get the distinction of what you are trying to do. You need to take a look at the $PAGE_SCOPE page token to accomplish what you want to do. I believe you are going to need to add an external to the first component to persist the datums into the page scope.
