make_toolkit.ipl fails.

I am trying to make some simple changes to the TeamSite UI and when I run make_toolkit.ipl it fails on an xml file somewhere in the process. The issue started happing after the script hung, but worked fine the 10 times I ran it before.

The Support article 48721 "How to fix XML parse errors from Parser.pm when starting any workflow in TeamSite" is similar to my issue but did not resolved it.

If anyone has run into this issue and know what to do I would greatly appreciate it.

Did you try backing out the changes you made?

What script hung?

Thanks Smitty for the response; yes the changes were backed out and the script that hung was the make_toolkit.ipl.

I don't suppose you kept a copy of the original customer_src folder? If so, you could try running a toolkit from that "pristine" folder and see if it is successful. If so, something is definitely corrupted in your custom setup. You could also try to rebuild the entire webapp.

The command to revert back the file changes(to original) after running the maketool kit is below:

install_webapps -I -f command from the TeamSite/install directory

Please do a help on the clt before you can execute. We had a similar issue that was fixed by running the above clt.

FYI: That will only remove the customizations the UITK and get TeamSite back up, but it won't help you find the problem or rollback only the problematic customization.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I ran the command that Jeni suggested and it worked. I then put the custom changes in and this time the make_toolkit.ipl ran with no problems.
