Unable to view dcr contents in staging

Hi ,

We are facing a strange issue here.

In a DCR I have 2 textareas(non editor) field.

When I open the dcr in WA in readonly mode the contents are visible.

but when I open the same DCR in staging the contents are not visible.

I can see the textareas but not the content.

If I download the same dcr from staging then I can see the values properly in the downloaded dcr (xml) files.

Please help me out.

Have you made any major changes to your DCTs. Changes like tabs or containers. Or have you changed from iwov to xml (templating.cfg)? If any of these is true then your exiting DCRs content will not match up with the new DCT structure. To test this you can revert back to the old DCT structure that was used to make those DCRs.

Or it could be none of the above. Maybe you have some corruption in the backing store.

exactly never submitting the dcr causes this problem, try submitting it once then verify the content.

"exactly" doesn't fit with the above statements since one is referring to the DCT and the other is referring to the DCR - two distinctly different pieces of information.

Failure to have the DCT within Staging (something I've seen at a number of customer sites with no good explanation) will cause issues for rendering the DCRs in Staging (or editions) because there will be no [relative] DCT to use for rendering the form that the data in the DCR is supposed to populate.

Failure to have the DCR within Staging simply means you won't be able to access its data in Staging (or editions)
