Issue with Deployment of HTML files

Hi all,

I am using Teamsite 6.7.1 SP1 on Solaris 10 and Open Deploy (Version 6.1.1.0.0 Build 64682 Interwoven 20070404).

I am creating HTML files in teamsite and deploying to the target server which is also a Solaris 10 server, but there are intermittent issues happening only with the deployment of HTML files.

Issue 1 :
Some times the HTML files are not getting deployed properly on the target servers.On target server file is getting deployed but not completely, the last HTML tag is not deployed properly.

Issue 2: Some times following error comes while deploying the HTML files:

Following up on Nipper's response - you're deploying from a workarea, if the file is getting changed within that workarea at the time that the deployment is happening, it could cause an issue with the file's accessibility at that time.

Also - you're deploying from "

/default/...

" when you probably should be deploying from "

/.iwmnt/default/...

" which helps alleviate some caching issues.

Also - check the source file that encountered this problem and verify that it has a newline at the end of it -- theoretically it shouldn't matter, but some read operations don't like non-newline terminated input.

I have added a new line at the end of the generated html file, but then also i am facing the same issue :

Some times the HTML files are not getting deployed properly on the target servers.On target server file is getting deployed but not completely, the last HTML tag is not deployed properly.

Wow great, you tested it again and it still fails. Earth shattering news.

Did you try any of the resolutions that were mentioned ? From your last description, there is one likely way to fix it. So start reading the thread and actually trying what we tell you to do.

Are you doing a view source from your browser and not seeing the last html tag, or are you looking at the file through the file system and not seeing the last html file? If you can see the last html line on the file while viewing it through the file system but not through view source then it's an issue with your web server and not OpenDeploy.

I am looking on the target server file system, and there the file is not completely deployed, so its not the prob with the webserver.

Are the html files complete on the TeamSite file system?

Also, while your version of OpenDeploy is compatible for TeamSite 6.7.2, maybe you should upgrade to version 6.2.1. of OpenDeploy.
