How ot create folder structure using CLT

Hi,

I am working on creating a jsp file from DCR for which i have used "iwgen" CLT, but it is not working if there is no such folder structure in the destination path. There is a requirement to create folder structure automatically if not present. I used "mkdir" command but it is not working always.I also tried using "iwupdate" which updates the destination path according to source but it was again not useful as such.

The other CLTs i found were of creating branch and workarea(iwmkbr and iwmkwa) but not folder. Is there any way through which we can create folder structure automatically without user interaction? I am using this as a part of wft workflow with perl scripts.

We are using teamsite 6.7.2

No CLT command available for folder structure creation. In perl its achivable using 'mkpath'. Try using as Perl -e 'mkpath("Path Here");'

The clt for this is 'mkdir'. :-)

I mean sometimes it works and creates folder structure, but sometimes it doesn't. I don't know if this happens because of permissions or something else. Please suggest.

mkdir only creates 1 folder, not a folder structure. For this use mkpath (in File: Smiley Tongue

ath), as suggested above. Check the perldocs & google on exact syntax of this command.

Further if in perl a command fails it always leaves a error waiting for you. For file-system command like mkpath this would be $!. So check this to know what went wrong.

Use "mkdir -p " option. It will create the folder structure if its not present.
