LSCS Deployment log size ?

Has anyone tried to improve the LSCS deployments ?

We are using the OOTB deployment which is a date different deployment. It basically chews up about 20 MB per workflow deployment on our site. Since it is a data different, it does not matter if you submit 2 files or 2000. The manifest is about 3 MB per target, log about 2 MB per target (for the commit-deploy deployment) and we have multiple servers.

Does not take too long to fill up the 10 GB partition. Yes I can get more disk, but still it does not solve the issue.

Settings are verbose or normal in the config and we have everything set to normal.

Not certain if I can do anything unless I can change the deployment to a filelist.

I havn't experienced anything close to this issue before with OOTB deployments. I have had sites with 5000+ files and used OOTB LS deployments (LSDS and LSCS). they seemed to be filelist deployments. if i select 2 files, then I only see those 2 files in manifest file and log files. Maybe i just haven't noticed the date difference comparison. I am curious to see what's in your log files.

Interesting. This is 7.2.1 on Linux, I wonder if they changed it between 7.1 and 7.2.1

We're running 7.2.1.

I pushed out one .page file using the PLC workflow.

It created
3 files in /log/LiveSite total size: 16kb
20 files in /log/lscs total size: 120kb

There are two destination servers.

That sounds like your did an area diff as well. Not a huge site ? We have 10,000+ files so there are the compare/delete/skipped lines for each file, for each target, for each deployment. The numbers add up quickly.

Okay - your site is a little bigger than ours....we have ...ahhhh... 5 pages and about 5 separate assets. We are just starting to convert to SP/LS.

Thanks for the warning though, we will keep an eye on it.

I'm in a hurry here, so i may have misread, but what I think is wrong in your case, is that the comparison seems to be

src: /appl/interwoven/LiveSiteCSAuth/authoring/tmp/dummysource
trg: /appl/lscs/lscsrt-store

AFAIK, the commit-deploy is NOT meant to do ANY file transfer (that's why it's comparing the (supposedly) empty dummysource to the (supposedly) empty dummytarget. What it is meant to do, is run some java code from the Adapter.
