Web CMS (TeamSite)
Porting the Teamsite server
vijay_m_charles
Hi,
We have a CMS production server which has teamsite 671 SP1, opendeploy 611, metatagger 411, workflow modeler 100 and FrontOffice. There are also a lot of customizations that we have made on the CCSTD interface. The server is windows 2003 running IIS.
We are now planning to move this setup to another box the new box would again be the same windows version, we will also give it the same hostname and IP address. But this box will be virtualized using VMWare
My question is, Will mirroring the old server to the new server suffice?. Do you foresee any issues?. OR Would I have to re-install the interwoven suite of products on the new server.
Please advice.

You might expect a little sluggish performance if your VMware doesn't have enough juice. The license used to be bound by the network mac address, but that has changed to be mapped with the hostname, so you won't have trouble there.
