No, as there is no need to iwidmap for the user since that user(who owns the file) is deleted from the system. But the other member's from his group needs to have the access for upload?
K.. I ll update with iwidmap : it ll take time as its PROD server and inform u back. But i have a question at this point as "Is it essential to iwidmap for the deleted user - as the same file is having the group permission with Read and Write access?"
% iwstoreadm -d default% iwstoreadm -a default
% iwidmap -u -c deleted_users_uid existing_users_userid `iwgetstore`/default
What is this Site Manager role?
I don't think you can do equivalent to iwidmap from front end. It is usually a TeamSite administrator activity. Were you successful in running this command. If yes, were you able to do required action with "Site Manager" role?
In this case - there might be some users who will be leaving the organization in frequent bases, so i need to do the iwidmap each and every time. Its actually makes the process difficult.(This might solve - but i don't think this will be the permanent solution - when the ids are deleted in the frequent bases)Secondly in Solaris - if a file is having the owner and group assigned - then even if the owner is disabled the file can be updated by the assigned group(member). Then in Teamsite also it needs to be applicable?
My point is that if the assets are not owned by someone who as left, then there will not be SIDs messing everything up.It is hard to fix after the fact, but if it was set up correctly the first time, these would be minor.
Hi Nipper/Curious_maverick,I the current case the submit .cfg and TS Group is properly maintained and the file permission for the owner and the group is 664 (as mentioned earlier : Owner : Read and Write | Group : Read and Write | Others : Read and Write)But i am not justified by this solution as you know if the same setting is applied for the files in Solaris then it will have any problem like this-- so the same way this needs to be work?
Sorry to reignite this thread.Even after I run the % iwidmap -u -c deleted_users_uid existing_users_userid `iwgetstore`/defaultand the store Deactivate/Activate steps, only some users permissions are changed.Annoyingly the invalid user holding most of the files as Owner is not getting changedAny thoughts on this. Thanks in AdvanceRegardsArun
