New Job Error - Submit Error

Hi All,

When clicking on Submit Button or Actions -> New Job button, if am getting a 404 Error, showing the below message:

HTTP Status 404 - /iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/iwwft_instantiator.cgi

Attached is the snapshot for the same.

However, when I try submitting the files using command line, the files get submitted.

Its a newly installed Teamsite 7.2.1 on Windows Server 2008 - 64 bit system.

Please revert on the same urgently as am facing this issue on the Production server.

When you use the command line, you are using a CLT call iwsubmit.

When you use the GUI, the system determines what WFT or WFM should be executed and starts it.

Your problem seems to be with one (or all) WFTs. Which one & why ? No clue, that is what you have to figure out. Learn to debug or hire someone who can.

Whenever i try to execute and workflow, it gives me an error 404 saying /iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/__ANY__.cgi file not available.

Is it related to some permission access issues or something else?

AFAIK, workflows are not enabled by default.

Someone (likely) changed available_templates.cfg or used the GUI to anable a model. From the error I lean towards available_templates.cfg

From that error, it is also very possible that the install was not done correctly.

You need to figure out what WFT/WFM is supposed to run and if it is even starting.

Then call your boss and tell him to get you in training.

I know which WFT/WFM are supossed to run and yes they are also getting started for sure but for some reason as I have been mentioning it gives a 404 error on cgi files in iw-bin folder.

available_templates.cfg also is good enough and no changes have been made to the model via GUI.

OK, what CGI is supposed to be running ?

Can you run it at all ?

It appears it is trying to do impersonation and that may be what is failing.

Can you try using the showenv.cgi that is included with TS to see if CGIs work at all.

Is that literally "__ANY__" or figuratively "...ANY..." ?

If the former, it looks like part of the installation script "munging" process failed.
