how iwpt_compile works?

I have used below command for generating HTML in my workflow
\iw-bin\bin\iwpt_complie.ipl -pt 'tpl_location' -iw_pt-dcr 'dcr_path' -iw_include-location 'workarea_path' -oenc UTF-8 -workarea_abs_path $workarea_abs_path -ofile $body_html_abs_path

and attaching the generated HTML in next task. It is wokring fine till now. Now a days sometime the HTML is not generated and by that time workflow is trying to attach it and failed. we are smiply executing above commd as `$cmd_execute' and reurning from that function.

Is there any way I can avoid the avoid condiiotn in workflow?

Do you check the output on STDOUT and STDERR, and check the return status of the call? If so - what are you seeing? If not - do so.

#`$cmd_presentation`; Commented out. Instead:
my $returnedValue = qx($cmd_presentation 2>&1); # Redirect STDERR to STDOUT

Command return ($returnedValue) will contain both STDOUT and STDERR Streams. Log it out somewhere and take a look.
To be sure, it will not solve your problem but at least you will be able to see what the problem is

Thanks for reply and clarification. Defintely I will give it a try. But I am experiencing any error here. Only thing is that next stament in my ipl gets executed before completing the generation of HTML.
Can you please tell me how can I make sure that the HTML is completely generated by the iwpt_complile command?
I want to proceeed only when the file gets generated.

Why don't you give that a try and compare the output for a failure and for success.

I have never had trouble with iwpt_compile out of a script. I am always able to catch failures.
