Reading MultiSelect box values

Ani_mind

Hi ,

could someone please help me out here.
I have a multiselect box in my workflow instatiator screen. I am trying to read the selected values and assign it to perl variable. But it's not working out ,

Below code will insert the selected values. But could you please tell me how can i assign this value to a perl variable?
<br> for (my $i=0; $i < __ELEM__('locale_info'); ++$i)<br> {<br> __INSERT__("__TAG__(locale_info[$i]);");<br> }<br> <br><br><br>
You want all the values to be associated with a single perl variable, or you want distinct perl variables to be created for each value?

For the former - I think one of the following would work:

my @var = __VALUE__('locale_info');
my $var = __VALUE__('locale_info');
my $var = join(";", __VALUE__('locale_info'));

You'd have to test the above (I'm not doing that right now) to see what the results are - I believe __VALUE__() recognizes the context in which it is being used and does the right thing in array and scalar context (the first two suggestions), but if not - the third suggestion should probably work - if you want a scalar value.
