iwStore to Filesystem deployment Issue

Hi,

I am trying to deploy 5 folders within iwStore to the local filesystem as a test. These 5 folders exist within my branch but have no files in them. My initial test is to see if they deploy the folders themselves on the filesystem and as soon as files are added it will deploy those as well. Below is the log with the error I am getting. I am new to OD so any help would be appreciated. Attached is my deployment script.

OD is rather funny with deploying empty folders. It will create them if you have files underneath, but not always empty.

BTW, you should preview your post until you get the hang of posting XML

I have added a file to the \images folder I am trying to deploy which is the first one it attempts but it still errors in the same way. So it doesn't seem to be an issue with being an empty folder.

If you check odsource.dtd you will see that "pathSpecification" Tag requires single "path" sub-tag
and allows few more optional sub-tags (filters, Source/Target Rules, etc).

Setting multiple "path" subtags is therefore incorrect. That causes "Client specified bad local path" Error[html]

I made that change for the multiple pathSpecifications but still get that same error when its done using iwStore. However I do not get the error if I change it to fileSytem. So for now I am going to go with fileSystem as it really doesn't make a difference which way its done for this solution.

The issue now is that it works and it gathers the files within each pathspecification folder and deploys them, but they all get deployed into a single folder specified as the targetFilesystem. Its not creating each of the individual pathSpecification folders. Do I need to do somethng different to have each folder created?

I've figured out how to use "." as the pathSpecification and then use excludePath to stop the 3 folders we don't want to be deployed.

I'm still curious why we can't get this to work using iwStore but can using fileSystem. Below is the deployment script. Commented out is the working fileSystem code but the iwStore code continues to throw the original error of

That's expected and documented behavior. You may think of a Path as source Area modifier.

[include|exclude] [Path|Filter] usage is a typical way to deploy some but not all sub-folders

I'm still curious why we can't get this to work using iwStore...

Make sure that both "Y:/default/main/Internet..." and "/default/main/Internet..." (eg, with and without Y) are allowed
folders for this allowed Host
