DcrFileLoader Question

My component is using the following class

com.interwoven.livesite.component.foundation.external.dcr.DcrFileLoader

In this class, method getIndividualDcr reads the parameter "type" and "dcr" and then loads the complete DCR into an XML doc.

I want to verify parameter using database and if the parameter does not match it redirect to other page like 404 error page.

Is this possible using external call or require some other way ?

I think you should do this either by:

1. Using a page level pre-controller; or

2. having a controller on the component that links to the page where this param is being passed.

you can do a check against the param in the controller and then do the appropriate redirect then...

How to create page level precontroller ?

If I hit following URL directly

http://www.domain.com/article.page/?a=123&b=123456

first the parameter a and b should be validate by DB.If the paramete is correct then it will display "article.page" content otherwise
go to 404 page.

Does it require page level precontroller ?

Does it require site level controller ?

you should use a page level controller.

If you pass these parameters for every page, you should use site level precontroller because you dont want to include the precontroller for each and every page again and again. Just use it at site level .
