Debug Java Code In Teamsite

Hi,

Is there any way I can debug java code lying in Teamsite environment, remotely before pushing it to Livesite? I would like to use eclipse' remote debugging feature and for that I need to know the Teamsite debug port.

You would have to modify the initialization parameters of the JBoss / Tomcat instance (depending on your TS version) to add those flags to the JVM. On Windows, that means editing the registry for the iwjbossd service; on unix that means editing the startup script (iw_jboss_init.sh or somesuch, in TS7.x).

No clear about what you meant when you said "lying in Teamsite environment". Can you elaborate on it. If you are talking about you DataSources, Yes you can Run them on your Local machine on Eclipse and then import it on to you TeamSite and Publish it out.

I uncommented out the line

# Sample JPDA settings for remote socket debuging
JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=8787,server=y,suspend=n"

in iw_jboss_run.conf and restarted the process after that I was able to use Netbeans and attach the debugger to the port 8787 on the server. How ever when a breakpoint is reached the debugger gave me an error

Not able to submit breakpoint LineBreakpoint ****.java : 51, reason: Line number information is missing in the class file ****.

I did some more research and figured out that inorder for the class to have the line number information it needs to be compiled with that hence in the and build.xml for the make_toolkit script I enabled the debug="on" option in the javac ant task but still I get the same error "Line number information is missing" Is there something that I am missing here? Any information is appreciated.
