Components with external call don't work

We just upgraded a teamsite server to version 7.2.1. Most things are working now. Only the components (preview) screen gives an error if there is an external java call:

"Doesn't contain handler name parameter method, this might be caused by whitespace in label text."

The error appears in the content xml part of the screen.

This happens when calling custom java code as well as calling standard interwoven java classes.

Is the problem coming with upgraded external components only or it is coming for the newly created components as well?

It also happend to new components, but it's fix now.
Not sure how, but if we changed the java files one by one it works.

All at onces didn't do anything, one by one does work.
Really weird, but with TeamSite I'm starting to give up being surprised...
