Site map node mapped to in a component

I have a sitemap component which basically maps to a node.
Within the node (in the sitemap) I have defined a linked external page and that is to be opened in a new window. Remember that link is to an external url. (External URL and NEW Browser Window)

When on my website, the link never opens in a new browser window, rather uses the same window.
can anyone help

Hi Tik,

Please make the below mentioned changes in node properties:
Link Type: External URL
Open In:NEW Browser Window
Pop-up Type: Small

Let me know if this works. Please note: this is only applicable for IE Browsers.

I changed to New Window and External URl. The popup option only becomes visible if we choose PopUp comes only when we select popup type
