explorer

Hi Experts,

In my organistion I joined a month back and presently I am doing some testing task of dcr and Teamsite generated pages.

I checked with some of my collegues for what is needed for become Teamsite devloper they simply said PERL and XSLT.

Please tell do we have some good material on net for Teamsite and what is the other requirements for becoming Teamsite devloper.

you can hardly find any material for TeamSite on Net. You can ask your colleague to give you an overview of TeamSite. Try to get some understanding on CMS, WCM in general.

Strat reading the TeamSite manuals.

Perl, XML, XSLT, javascript, Java, HTML, CSS and the list goes on. But initially you don't have to bother too much as you can gradually develop these skills.

hope that helps.

As Curious_maverick told Java and Perl is needed.

But right now better you concentrate on Perl (i.e. IWPerl) and dtd which is used in dct fields validations.

HI Curious_maverick,
As my organisation is providing only Quality services to the client so no one has good knowledge on Teamsite.

But once they were given some basic overview of teamsite for QA purpose.

Thus they donot have any devlopment knowledge on that.

So how can I get teamsite material?

curiousmaverick

Check with your client if they'd agree to share IW supprt id/pwd with you. Then from the support site, you can download the materials.

Usually clients to share the id with their service provider.

Thanks Curious_maverick,

For me it is not possible to ask as I am new to the organization and my seniors are also not having any docs.

There is nothing like if you can persuade your organization to get you a formal training on IW products.
Else getting the docs is the only option to learn.

This is a commercial Product. With the possible exception of something old you won't find Documentation on the Net.
You'll need Support Account to get current Documentation, an access to it is available to paying Clients

The Definitive Guide to Interwoven Teamsite

Sathishbsl

Since this is a lincensed product and an expensive tool, you cannot find much materials free. There are books available for Interwoven which you or your organization can spare some little money.
