reading items from datacapture.cfg

Hi,
my requirement is to read all the items(browse , text , textarea, etc) from datacapture.cfg file inside a datatype i.e. templatedata/category/datatype.
Please tell me if there is any API to do the same or some other way out.
After reading I have to set the values of those items through API and then generate the DCR using API.

I dont think cssdk API will help you.

As datacapture.cfg is a xml file, you can easily achieve it using XSLT.

There is no published API for doing explicitly what you want.

The DCT is XML - use whatever XML parsing code you want to parse / process it.

The DCR is also XML - use whatever XML processing code you want to create the DCR and then use CSSDK (or CLTs) to set the requisite EA on the file to make it a "DCR".
