deploying dcr content to database

i need to deploy dcr content to database. the error that am getting is "unable to access teamsite source- templatedata\global\trydd\data\test"

i have a dcr named test in the specified folder. can anybody guide me on this.

am doing it from command prompt. i have uploaded the file. the error is that its unable to access the dcr-Rates.

Is the path "<teamsite-templating-records options="wide" area="main/Project/STAGING" area-type="os-filesystem" xml-type="custom">" right?

Try appending /default and let us know.

Because path to your DCR is not getting formed properly. Try using a fully qualified path.

when i am giving the fully qualified path(Y:/default/main/.....), its saying that path not present. but when i give from main/...., the file is found in the given path but the error is that it is unable to process the Teamsite source: templatedata/global/rates/data/rates...

start the path with default and not Y:.

You can also try to look into the OD log files at "OD_HOME/logs" directory, you will find the exact path which system is taking up from your config file.
In that way you can better reach out the exact portion of invalid path.

yes i saw in the logs, the path is correct, but the thing is that i have removed the attribute area-type="os-filesystem". When am including this attribute,then again the error is that it cant locate the file. when am removing it,there is no such error. the question i want to ask is whether there is something called 'TeamSite-filesystem' or 'ts-filesystem'?

Answer to your question is "Yes", "area-type" attribute can have either of two values (os-filesystem and ts-filesystem).

But according to the available OD 6.2 docs, "area-type" attribute is not available to be used in <teamsite-templating-records> tag in the dd-config file. its available for <xml-source> tag.

Yes, you dont need to include that in your dd-config.

You may want to compose your config file from OD GUI. It has a pretty good validator.

...n ya Maverick..actually we are not able to access the Open Deploy Ui...so doin it from Teamsite only...hopefully it wil be accessible by tomorrow...

one more question. when we write group name="sometable"..., n run the script for data deploy,then this table gets created each time when we run the script? is there any option to append the rows in the same table instead of overwriting the previous rows?
