TS 6.7.2Solaris 9I've noticed that in the documentation for TS 6.7.2 that is says not to manually edid the tsusers.xml file but I'm curious as to why. I'm trying to chagne the display-names for some users using the iwuseradm CLT but for some reason the dislplay-name is not an allowable setting to be changed. Is there any harm in manually changing this file? Thanks.

I have tried to manually edit this file twice in the past days and as soon as I save the file it takes down my Interwoven TeamSite service. And, yes, I know that the xml is formatted correctly. I am running 6.7.2 on Windows 2000 SP4. It could be that users with a SP installed or those running on different OS's other than mine won't have issues. But I would suggest to not edit it. If you do then you will have to delete or rename it to something else, then restart TeamSite, then run the iwusermigrate command to re-create a new tsusers.xml file. After which you will have to go back into the admin screen and re-edit your users so that any entered email addresses or preferred ContentCenter choices come back since it loses some of those changes. Anyway, proceed with caution. Just thought I should add some info on what could happen to you as it has happened to me.

Well, if it's not supported then maybe they should update their compatibility matrix to match their release notes.https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/compatibility/teamsite672SP2.aspThey (support) said that it wasn't supported on 6.7.2, but then when I mentioned the above matrix they caved.
I noticed that the tsusers.xml file on my Windows server is UNIX encoded. Perhaps that has something to do with the issue. Perhaps not.For those of you are editing the file, what editor and OS are you using?
Checking the Release Notes for 6.7.2 and it was dropped then also, not just in the Service Pack.I do agree with your statement "Dropping 2K for TS 7 is reasonable". If they wanted to drop support, it should have only been on a major release like 7.We do plan on going to Windows 2003 this summer when we move it over to a virtual server.
