Hi all,

I'm using TS 7.2.1 on Windows Server 2003 EE SP2.

All users are able to access and navigate into branch and workarea that they are not given permission.

All the branches and it's workareas are already checked with "Private: Restrict access"

Please suggest where can be the fault at.

Look at the roles and access rights associated with each branch and workarea - it could be that "Everyone" has access and thus "Private" has no effect. This usually happens if the "web server group" was not created prior to the installation of TeamSite.

When "webserver_group=TeamSite Web Preview" is added in wi.cfg, user encounter Permission denied error http://devnet.interwoven.com/forums_vb/showthread.php?t=36233&forumid=11

Thus, "webserver_group=TeamSite Web Preview" is commented off in wi.cfg and "Everyone" has already been removed from "Users and Roles" but issue is still not resolve.

Please suggest if there is other alternative.

Are they able to browse through the branch and edit the dcr or create the dcr there ?

as normally if the user dont have access to branch they will have the links disabled from teamsite and they will not be able to do any changes there?

Normally in teamsite with solaris environment i have seen that the user is not able to see the branch at all.

Have you checked in teamsite support site also for that issue ?

you can try this also:

Change the default branch and workarea permission from 775 to 770. Modify your iw.cfg and change the default branch and workarea permission from 775 to 770 Restart TeamSite Create a new test branch and test workareas. Load the content. Test it.

Yes, normally the branch link will be disabled and unable to browse the branch and its workarea.

I have log a case with support, but still no resolution.
