Set specific workflow as default selected on the "Select a Workflow" screen

Hi All,

We are using teamsite 6.7.1 and the workflow modeller to create workflows.

Our requirement is to set a specific workflow as default selected on the workflow selection screen. (screen which opens on clicks of the New Job link).

For example:
Suppose we have three workflows: a,b,c. On click of New Job Link, workflow selection screen will open and the workflows will be displyes in the alphabatical order and the first workflow will be selected by default. In this case workflows a will be selected by default.

But my requirement is to set workflow b as default selected when the workflow selection screen opens.

Could you please tell me how to acheive this?

Unfortunately, I do not believe what you want is possible - I think there have been complaints about this before, but I'm not sure if anyone ever filed an official feature request for it.
The only way you're going to get

'b'

to be the default selected workflow is by changing it's name to something like

' b'

(leading space) such that it becomes alphabetically sorted prior to

'a'

- which, if I understand your intentions, is not really going to help that much.

You can edit the \httpd\webapps\content_center\ccpro\workflow\select_wft.jsp file and I:\httpd\webapps\content_center\ccstd\workflow\select_wft.jsp to achieve this.

After this line.

Rather than changing IWOV JSP Files directly under httpd (sub)Folders it is safer to do this sort of hacking
in the dedicated .../local/config Locations and use make_toolkit to rebuild the application. [post=110063]Here[/post] I've
illustrated semi-supported mechanism for persistent JSP modifications. Use at your own risk

You could also make the default workflow the only available workflow in this branch for this role and this screen will not appear... via available_templates.cfg
