You are in definite need to brush up your perl... You can redirect the output of that command to a file. Then read that file

hey, i got it. . .i did it this way : my $str= $iwhome.'\bin\iwextattr -l y:/default/main/WORKAREA/templatedata/Global/Footer/data/footer';my @arr=`$str`;got all the attributes in the array this way. . . thanks a lot for your help
