I can not be sure but it seems that LiveSite uses Spring. Does not look like they use Hibernate.
That said, why would you care? Yes/No, what of it? It's not like System's API is exposed on that level.

We have a DB hooked up to TeamSite to store metadata. We have a couple jsp/servlets which search the DB and I wanted to see about using Hibernate to interface with the DB.

Now Teamsite more aligned to Java....It uses both spring and hiberante framework....

When user wants more enhancements on the page...he uses Spring and DB related stuff he uses Hibernates...But both framework add Load to Teamsite, though provide an advanced enhancements to TS.
