Event Subsystem and OD Oracle table sizes
Hi All,
I have a bit of a chicken/egg situation. We never implemented Teamsite Search but are trying to change that. We've been testing Search 3.1 against TS 6.7.2 with the Oracle Database event subsystem. Seems to work fine but as this is our Teamsite developers RandD set-up very little by way of events are logged (no regular users). Our production environment has 313 users of whom maybe 50 are very active and our store is over 46GB (with over a million files, though that includes workareas, staging and editions).
As part of a large organization roles are segmented so our dev DBA has to pass control to the prod DBA for the Oracle tables. This apparently entails paperwork, part of which is size estimation. I don't have a basis for even guestimating at the sizes (need a production set-up for a while in order to know how it will grow ). Could someone out there who has been using Oracle for their Event Subsystem and Open Deploy Tables help me out with a guess? Sorry for the following mess but I could not get a file in at the 19.5KB upload limit that was "prettier" than below.
