Extending DataAccessObject for full text search

Hi:

I am working with TeamSite 6.7.1 on Windows server 2003.

We are trying to figure out how to extend Livesite data access to allow us to utilise SQL server fulltext search:

At the moment we do something like:

[PHP]DataAccessObject dao = daoFactory.getInstance(My.class);
LinkedList p = new LinkedList();
p.add(SearchArgument.create("field", SearchArgument.LIKE, "search text"));[/PHP]

What we need to do is to be able to add a new SearchArgument constant CONTAINS which does the hibernate equivalent of:

[PHP]Expression.sql("contains({alias}.field,?)", "search text", Hibernate.STRING)[/PHP]

I've tried to just create a standard hibernate query as follows but it seems to cause LiveSite to hang (is there any reason I shouldn't be doing this?)

s.flush();
s.close();
}

The above works 4 or 5 times when previewing via TeamSite and then seems to hang the GUI.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you mean the preview tab/window is frozen? If so can you check what is being returned by the database and if anything in there may have data/code which may be unescaped and causing JS issues?
