Has anybody created/used tinymce plugins?

Pg 116 of the formpublisher developer guide talks about enabling custom plugins for the tinymce instance in teamsite.

I tried adding the plugin called "template" that allows a certain template/snippet to be added on click on the custom button. But I get the error message that says
"This plugin was not loaded because of known problems with teamsite".

I was hoping to get some input from anybody that has used this feature. Support is not being very supportive about tinymce questions as my question about entity encoding is being researched for over 2 weeks now.

If there are other ways to achieve what I am trying to do, I would appreciate ideas/suggestions.

Users always create 2 kinds of tables. One with alternating rows and one with a particular kind of header. I want the ability to add a empty table with these features on a single click. Author can then go ahead and add rows /content etc
