Whats with the advanced search...?

I can't understand why the forums for an information storage system should have the worst search capabilities I have ever come accross! I can't believe that an advanced search against the worksite forum for "workspace" returns only 2 results, and 9 times out of 10 if you try to search for a com method it tells you the word is too long, short ... and returns no results.

Also you don't appear to be able to do "and" searches, only "or" ...

Really frustrating! (or am I just doing something wrong?)

No - you're just the latest person to gripe about this.
Unfortunately, while DevNet had some real support when it was Interwoven - it does not appear to have the same sense of support now that it is Autonomy Interwoven (at least not that we've seen).

Those of you who work for [significant] paying customers might consider sending feedback up-the chain through both Support and your local AIWOV Sales representative -- maybe if there's enough noise going through both channels they'll do something about it. Maybe.

if you can't search for "teamSite" (but you can search for teamsite and TeamSite) in the corp site, what makes you think you can search in their forums? Smiley Happy

Keep in mind that the corp site isn't using IDOL, i think it is still using ultraseek.

well to be fair they still had links to teamsite in the quick links when searching on "teamSite" and yes they are definitely still using ultraseek. which is sad considering how quickly they pushed IDOL into TS.

I have opened a case with Support. Will see what they have to say.

Here is the update from Support.

"Our internal migration process is going on and we are doing some changes in devnet so you may get some problems.

I will let you know when its done and for time being i am going to close this case.

Please let me know if you have any questions."

Hope things will be better sooner than later.

It looks like they have at least re-indexed the forums so at least searching for "workspace" brings back a lot more results!
