Disable Trace in Teamsite

Hi All ,

Teamsite : 5.5

We are trying to disable http trace in teamsite , on checking internet we got the below :

Go to /usr/iw-home/iw-webd/conf/httpd.conf

Modify and add below " LoadModule rewrite_module libexec/mod_rewrite.so" :

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQU EST_METHOD} ^TRACE
RewriteRule .* -

Has any one used the above before , does it work ,

Does any one has any other alternative for the above , please do share with us . We want to disable Trace in our teamsite

I'm not sure about the answer to your specific question - but I have a question is return:

Is there some reason you have not upgraded?
5.5 has been "dead" for a looooooooooonnnnnnnnnnng time now - and subsequent releases have included updates for the version of apache used for iwwebd.

We are planning for an upgrade but till the process gets completed , we were hopping if we can disable trace method in the teamsite webserver in any way possible , we have logged a ticket with interwoven but still no reply from their side

You're unlikely to get much of a response from Support since 5.5 is no longer supported.

You'd probably be better off reading the apache web site / forums (I assume they have some)
