to a database?

You are trying to move the logfile to a Database? can you explain your requirement?

you basically set the destination of logfile in your iw.cfg.

and If you are changing your Eventsubsystem DB from one DB server to other DB server. You mention the server name in the config file of evensubsystem and reset the services.

So I am not sure clearly what you were trying to do and what your requirement is?
