TS 7.2.1 perl

We installed TS 7.2.1 on a 64 bit xLinux OS.
However we are seeing the iwperl perl installed as 32 bit on the system.
This is causing issues with the perl modules DBI :: DBD we are trying to compile against a 32 bit perl on 64 bit OS.

Any suggestions to make this perl 64 bit?

Support says, they ship only 32 bit perl.
Strangely they have 64 bit OS in their compatibility list.

Most 64 bit OS's support 32 bit apps - so that's not an incompatibility.
The problem is that if you're building something for a 32-bit app on a 64-bit OS you may need to tweak some of the build options for it - e.g.: this post which I found doing a simple search on google.

Our OS security folks don't allow a multilib gcc on production system. So we have a challenge in getting this through.
Trying other options.
