TeamSite UI suddenly unavailable - 7.2

TeamSite UI suddenly became unavailable yesterday. OD UI is available. All services are up.

Things that occured yesterday:

1. Changed iw.cfg to add a domain to allow local users to see the server name in the drop down on the login page. (Versioned and submitted back to server)
2. Created a new local user on server, added that user to TeamSite, added that user to a group.
3. Reset server

We have run iwfsck on the store - it is good.

We have read the post "TeamSite 7.2 - UI won't come up!" and tried everything it states and checked everything is says to check.

Also - we can't access the TeamSite UI on the server itself either.

Using 7.1 is not an option.

Help please! :-)

Did you check the logs? Do you see any error there? If the virtual memory is low on the server, Teamsite UI will be shut down although services will be running fine. Thats just a guess but seeing the logs would be the first thing.

logs show nothing of interesnt. VM is good. We are starting to suspect an issue with search and are gathering input from a colleague.

What error are you seeing? 404? 500? Did you try to revert the changes that you made and see if it is back up?

Added the following to my iwutild.cfg in the command-list section

command impersonate="false" name="iwstat" path="D:\Interwoven\TeamSite\bin\iwstat.exe "

Then ran iwreset -a and iwreset -ui.

OK - so we reverted to our old iwutild.cfg as a test and all still worked fine.

Thoughts:
1. Unreadable file - not likely.
2. Some permissions change. We did see odd permission changes on the server with respect to access to files.

Will post future findings.

You mentioned that you reset the server. Was there another change since the last time iwreset -a was run and you have forgotten about it ?

No other changes. The only other variable to add is a failed initial deployment of the iw.cfg. The second submission, after correction to the workflow was successful.
