Hi All,

I want to put a restriction on a folder such that the content of the folder should never be viewed by any user but should be able to generate content into that folder using workflow.

Is there any way by which I can restrict or hide the folder content from being viewed.

I am working on TS 6.7.1 Solaries 10

You will need to allow at least one "user" to have access to that folder, and you will need to have that "user" be the owner of the workflow tasks that performs the content generation.

Since you're on Unix - you could probably use 'root' - which should be a defacto "Master".

Did you mean to Hide the contents of folder ? Well, i am not sure for this.

What you can do is that out of the list of folders displayed in TS select the desired folder ,select it and check for its properties by clicking the link on right "Properties" .In this section you will have another link that is "Permissions".

In the Permission Section you can set permissions like

Read Only
Write Only
Read or Write
No Access

These Permissions can be set for Group ,Owner and for Others.

I'd probably just go to the file system interface and do a chown and chmod on the directory from there.

Note - you'd really want to do this before the directory (or any of its files) have ever been submitted, and you'd want to make sure you have the settings correctly set in your

submit.cfg

(and run an

iwreset

) too. That way you'll be assured that the directory maintains the correct permissions within the staging area and editions as well as in the (or all of the) workarea(s).
