SSI includes (TS 7.2.1 and Win 2K8R2)

Hello Everyone,

My SSI includes are not processed at all (they survive preview and get to the rendered page as comments).

This is our environment:
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Enteprise Edition
- TeamSite 7.2.1.0.0

I have completed the following:

Installed the Redirector Module for IIS
(as per instructions from 'Web Solutions Authoring Comopnents - Installation Guide (7.2)')
Some of these instructions are not updated and accurate for Win 2008 host environment. I believe I was able to succesfully finish this (used inetmgr commaned, etc.).

Updated iw.cfg with something similar to this:
[iwproxy_plugin_remap]
_regex=(.*)/forms/(.*)=/iw-mount/default/main/Branch2/STAGING/forms/$2

[]
Restarted Web Server (via inetmgr framework)

[]
Restarted the TS server:
iwreset -a

However, all of this is still not helping. The following SSI include statement is not processed:

The page renders fine, however, the above SSI line is withing source code untouched.

Would anyone have any suggestions about missing configuration steps?

I got same situation for not rendering the SSI by IIS. It's very frustrating. See bellow steps and comments if it helps....

If your pages are .html then you can do following steps to get SSI working in IIS.

inetmgr --> Default Web site --> Right Click --> Properties --> Home Directory --> Configuration --> Add

Now you have to add the SSI configuration here for .htm and .html

Executable : C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\ssinc.dll
Extension : .html

Add it.

same for .htm

Executable : C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\ssinc.dll
Extension : .htm

Add it.

Add these both the entries and then "Restart IIS". See if Preview of pages are working.

"very frustrating" is a quite understatement.

It took me a while to understand all additional steps that need to happen, so this was working as it should have.

I have attached the Word document created once this was resolved.

Interesting. Devnet imposes the limit on Word documents to be smaller than 19.5KB (what a joke !@#!@#).

FYI: this was in the context of using SSI on SHTML generated out of FormsPub. It won't help you with your LiveSite issue because SSI and Java are effectively incompatible technologies.
