I was wondering as where should be my jar location for my customized data source if I am mentioning this in my configuration xml file.

com.interwoven.datasource.examples.mydatasource

[/html]

I have it under httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/lib/mydatasource.jar
Is this right? I have only datasource.jar here apart from mydatssource should i need any more jar files here to be imported?

1. Place your .jar file in "iw-home\local\config\lib\content_center\customer_src\lib" and execute the make_toolkit.ipl.
2. Update the"iw-home\local\config\lib\datasourceconfig.xml"
3. Execute "iwreset -a" reset the services.

This is not what i wanted. I got that info from the Docs. Where will you put your Jar files on the Server? I di place my java file and class file in the same location and I tried to Execute my Java file from this location, it couldn't locate the jar files and gave me errors on the same.

What is ideal place to put all your Jar files and you customized Java file?

Make a jar of your customized java code and follow the three steps mentioned by me in previous post. If any non-teamsite jars then place it in same location iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/lib and run make_toolkit.ipl file.

I am using the Eclipse IDE for Java related development and below URL will help you to make .jar file.

Below are the locations :

1) Customized java source files
"iw-home\local\config\lib\content_center\customer_src\src"

2) Jar files you have used :
"iw-home\local\config\lib\content_center\customer_src\lib"

3) Make an entry of "customer.tk.war" into the "toolkits.xml".

Location of toolkits.xml file "iw-home\local\config\lib\content_center\toolkits.xml"

Add below entry into the toolkits.xml file .

<toolkit id="customer" path="E:\iwov\teamsite\local\config/lib/content_center/customer_out/customer.tk.war"/>

4) Run the make_toolkit.ipl file.

5) Make an entry into the "iw-home\local\config\DataSourceConfig.xml".

6) Reset the services in order to take the newly added data-source configuration.

If you have used the CSSDK API, then you don't need to add those imported
packages jar files at location "iw-home\local\config\lib\content_center\customer_src\lib", it will automatically make the reference.
For example- You said you have "datasource.jar", but you don't need to add that jar file.
