Common presentation template for category

Hi,

Teamsite 6.7.1 SP2, I have checked documents related to specifing presentation template. but i have not got any reference to specify .TPL file for overall category.
I have Product category having 5 product datatype in that. I have created one common preview.tpl file for preview that i want to use commonly for for all 5 template otherwise i have to create TPL in each of my 5 datatype.
Is there any otherway where i can place my template common and which will appear when we click on Preview in DCR? it will list preview.tpl with local tpl files for that repspective template.
Please provide any idea if this type of implemetation will possible?
