page regeneration

Hi All,

We have the <tt_data> command running a script when users save and close their DCR's. When a user edits the DCR, that has been linked to a generated page, the systems asks if they would like to regenate the page. How is it possible to trigger out <tt_data> script to run again to update the DCR?

Any insight would be great.

Let me make sure I'm getting this correctly:

You are saying that you have configured a workflow in your available_templates.cfg file for the command "tt_data" so that when someone is creating or modifying an existing DCR and they [save and] close the Edit DCR window they get prompted for initiating this job - yes?

What do you mean by running a script again to update the DCR? The DCR is was updated *before* the workflow was run.

If you are talking about something other than a workflow, then I'm not sure what it is that you are talking about.

I think I might know the problem--

If you create DCR "a" and it kicks off a workflow upong the DCT close, then you go back to "a" and make a change, it won't ask you to kick off the workflow, right?

If that's the description of the problem, then the cause is that the original workflow job started by the initial close of DCT "a" is still sitting in someone's To Do list. TeamSite won't allow 2 workflows to co-exist if both workflows point to the same DCR. You've got to kill the original workflow in order to get the DCT to prompt you during subsequent edits.

What we have is English and French DCR's. If a user creates a DCR in English, part of the datacapture is going to collect the path of the French DCR. When the user does a save and close, a script will then run that will look for the French DCR (in the path provided) and if it does not exist a DCR will be created. This process is not kicking of a multi-task workflow, just the script and the end task.

What I need to happen is once the user edits the DCR, they are prompted for regeneration, and I need the tt_data workflow (script) to be executed again.
