Because of the abstraction of preview being in the teamsite store and runtime being on a native file system the dal hide the file implementation from you.why wouldn't you just use the write (fileRelativePath, data)?
My requirement is to create a new file in the folder international/main/web-sites/somefolder/WORKAREA/ALL/scripts/ and I used the method FileDal.write() for this. However the write method throws an exception saying 'Failed to write data' and does not create a new file.If the file exists it is overwriting the contents in that file. However my requirment is to create a new file and then write into it.Can you please help on this....Thanks a lot for your response...
Yes i used the Java I/O function to create a new file. As mentioned below in the code snippet at the line f.createNewFile() an exception is thrown saying 'No such File or Directory exists'. Outside the team site im successfully able to use this method for creating file, but im not able to do it in team site.Please help me out in this.Thank You very much...

Yes i did added log statements and i got the path correctly. Since the path is correct im able to write into that file(already present file) successfully. The problem is only while creating the new file.Please help on this.Thank You
