Visual Annotate Snapshot

All,

One of my Client requirement is to save a snapshot copy of the Visually Annotated content for Audit trail pupose, I understand that we can refer back to the Visual Annotated content via the URL to look at the comments, but this will difficult if we multiple version of the same file and it would be difficult to pick one particular change for the Audit trail

I get the below from the dosumentation

"When reviewers save annotations, a snapshot of the document as it is displayed is created.Snapshots provide an audit trail of content development because they are views of the contentand associated annotations at various stages in the review process."

Any idea where the snapshots would be stored in Teamsite are they perisitent?

Anyother way to get the snapshots with the Visual annotated comments.
