iwsyncdb -resycnbr doesn't delete anything?

He have OD: 6.1 on Windows. We're running the following command every night to sync up metadata in base-area and workarea tables with the metadata in TS:

/bin/iwsyncdb -resyncbr teamsite/metadata

However, it appears that files deleted from the branch's Staging area persist in tables such as DEFAULT_TEAMSITE_METADATA__MASTER__MAIN_MYBRANCH_STAGING. Why doesn't "resyncbr" remove from the database the rows corresponding to the deleted files, or does it? According to the manual, it is supposed to "regenerate" the base and the delta tables.

Are we supposed to run "iwsyncdb -rmbr" first, then "iwsyncdb -rmwa," then "iwsyncdb -initial" and, finally, "iwsyncdb -resyncbr"?
