Launchpad Error

Hi,
While trying to edit a file, I get the following error. Any pointers on how to resolve this? TeamSite 7.2.1 on Windows 2k8 32 bit.

This is a across firefox and IE.

Any solution on this issue ? we also got the same problem.

We installed teamsite 7.3 on windows server 2008 R2 64 bit, db mysql.

Teamsite is up but cannot perform import or download pages / files.

Check this file "C:\Interwoven\TeamSite\iw-webd\conf\iwwebd.conf" and set with below "Listen" configuration :

Change it to what was in the previous post. And not in .conf but in .conf.template. Then restart

I met the same issue with TS7.3.1 + Windows 7+ MySQL on VirtualBox. It's totally a clean installation. Although tried the solution in this post, it's not solved yet. No matter making changes in .conf or in .conf.template file, and it seems resulting in a connection issue.

When looking at the manual, it's said when it's the first time to use 'Edit', there will be a popup to ask to install 'Local File Manager'. Well, I've never seen this popup windows, and for sure the popup was enabled in browser.

Is there a way to install 'Local File Manager' manually?
Any insight or advice? Thanks much in advance.

Having the same issue with a fresh install of 7.2.1 on a new Solaris 10 server.

Can't upload or import files, get an error "Server did not send multi_temp param" and launchpad never installs on the Win7 client.

Older KB articles suggest this was a problem with a JAVA version mismatch related to JRE 1.4 and TS 6.5. Didn't see anything that relates to JRE 1.6 and TS 7.2.1.

I filed a case with Autonomy Support, they're looking into it now.

Only one person mentioned what his/her JRE was, his JRE was 1.6.0_24

try changing it 1.7.0_04 or atleast 1.6.0_32 and then clear your cache and then try launchpad, it should work.

In my case, Java 7 is already used. How to clean TeamSite's cache? I cleaned the browser's cache. Thanks.

In my case JRE is 1.6.0_31-b05.

Corporate IT won't allow move to 1.7 yet, does 1.6.0_32 have a particular change that might apply to this problem?

Did any of you tried with some other PC in your Firm, are you the only user facinf this problem, see what other folks have on their PC. Version _32 will work fine too.

The issue in Windows 7 environment was solved by the following steps.
>By default, there is no IIS on Windows 7. So Apache can be installed separately as the customer web server. Configure Apache and TeamSite properly so TeamSite knows where is the customer web server;

>Configure TeamSite Web daemon to make connection via IPv4 instead of IPv6
-- Open the file C:\Interwoven\TeamSite\iw-webd\conf\iwwebd.conf.template.
- Look for this section:
#
Listen __IWWEBD_HTTP_PORT__
Listen __IWWEBD_HTTPS_PORT__
#

Change it to:
#
Listen 0.0.0.0lithium_IWWEBD_HTTP_PORT__
Listen 0.0.0.0lithium_IWWEBD_HTTPS_PORT__
#
- Run the command: iwreset -ui

After that Lauchpad works in Windows 7 environment.

For a Windows 7 client using Firefox 14 to connect to a Solaris TS 7.2.1 (Update 1) server, the following solution has been found to work also:

Problem is related to handling of cookies by Firefox. Solution is to add the TS server to the FF cookie 'exceptions' list and set the status to 'Allow for Session'.

Even though FF Options/Privacy has 'Accept cookies from site' checked (enabled), the TS local file operations fail unless 'Accept third-party cookies' is also checked OR the TS server has been added to the exceptions list as above.

Adding the TS server to the exceptions list was our preferred solution.

I also modified iw-webd.conf.template as recommended in a previous post.
