Getting DCR Info in the External

Hi All,
I had developed a component 5-6 months ago and we are using it at the production environment now, so I can not change the structure of the contentXML part. I have a DCR type Datum in this component and I want to access content of this DCR within an External call. (Since I don't want to change contentXML part I can not add it as parameter) Is there any way to access it through external?
