Refreshing a DCT from anothe DCT

Hi All,

I am opening a DCT window from another DCT by clicking the callout button. After i save that DCT, it should refresh or reload the parent DCT which opened this DCT. Can anyone help me out in this.

I am not sure about opening in the same window to achieve this.
You can do it new window implementation
OnCallout function, form url and open through window.open
The url should be like this format
ex: '/iw-cc/newform?vpath=' + parent.gWorkarea + '&iw_tdt=category/datatype&calloutItem='+item.getName();

Replace equivalent category and datatype

When the form saves the control returned back to callout item

You can code a "call back" FormAPI Function in your "Parent" DCT and then call it
from the "Child" DCT using suitable Save Event, onSaveValid or onSaveDone.

That said, you did not mention how target DCR changes may affect the original DCR.
FormAPI does not provide any direct re-loading API. So, what your call back Function
should be doing depends on how two DCRs are related.

For example, if you want to re-populate some drop-downs you can do that within
FormAPI without Loading. If however you have to rerun some DCT inlines you may
want to find pure JS re-loading mechanisms bypassing FormAPI completely, etc...
